I'm interested in regular expressions, and I'w working towards building a regex engine based upon a nondeterministic finite state machine simulator. Futzing about with this today has produced nfa.py, a little simulator which works on a fixed pre-compiled regex for "a(b)*c". You can see the run output in out.txt.
